Frequently asked questions

Is Folium really free?

Yes. No subscription, no trial and no credit card: downloading your PDF never asks you to pay. All 30 templates and unlimited PDF downloads are free, with no account and no watermark. A free account gets you a pool of 300 AI actions to use anytime over 30 days — no daily cap — plus resume sync across devices, full-resolution photos included.

Can I download my resume as a Word file?

Yes — free and without an account. Besides the PDF, you can download a Word file (.docx) to keep editing anywhere or to send wherever Word is required. It comes in a clean single-column layout that applicant tracking systems read easily, with your photo and your accent color.

Do I need an account to use Folium?

Not to build and download your resume — that works instantly in your browser with your data stored locally. A free account is needed only for the AI tools (a 300-action pool over 30 days) or to sync your resumes across devices.

Is my data private?

Your resume never leaves your browser unless you create a free account to sync it, or use the optional AI tools — which never send your email, phone or photo.

Which languages can I make my resume in?

In 23 languages. The editor and your resume’s section headings switch to the one you pick — including Arabic and Urdu, which run right to left. Spell check works in 21 of them, and with a free account the AI translates your whole resume into another language.
